Parandzem Badalyan 

Instructor

Parandzem Badalyan is a senior instructor of the AUA, who teaches General English, IBT and Teacher Training courses in the Open Education of the AUA and is an author of a number of publications on teaching methods. She holds an MA degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from TEFL department of the American University of Armenia and an MA degree in English Philology, Teaching, Translation/Interpretation from Romance and Germanic Languages Department of the Yerevan State University.

Her career has started in 1992, first, as a lecturer of English for Academic and Specific Purposes in undergraduate and graduate programs of the YSU, next, as an Instructor of GE and Business English in the Intensive English program of the AUA, then, as an instructor of English for Accountancy and Finances in the IATC founded by IFOA and London Business School and finally, as a senior instructor of GE and TOEFL IBT of the AUA Open Education.

Having been teaching for 32 years at American, Armenian and British accredited universities and institutions, she is trained to develop the reading and writing as well as the listening and speaking skills of her students through innovative, student-centered and interactive teaching methods and approaches (including modern technologies) both in communicative and academic English settings. 

She has also been involved in decision making committees on a regular basis for assessing, designing and developing a number of successful courses such as GE, ESP, IBT TOEFL and Teacher Training courses.
