Short bio-career description of the faculty member:

Marianna Movsesyan, MBA, joined the CBE team in the Spring of 2014. Mrs. Movsesyan is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant and a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) of Glasgow, UK. Marianna teaches several courses to bachelor students at AUA, such as Introduction to Financial Accounting and Introduction to Managerial Accounting.

Mrs. Movsesyan has more than 15 years of professional experience in accounting and finance, budgeting, business valuation and automated accounting systems. Marianna is also a licensed auditor in Armenia. She has worked in one of the Big Four professional services networks, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where she derived extensive expertise on accounting, financial reporting and internal control matters from local and CIS clients. Her career with PwC also brought her to Moscow where she worked for Financial Services division for several years. While in PwC, Marianna conducted workshops on complex IFRS accounting issues to incoming staff and clients. Experienced in IFRS, UK GAAP, Russian Accounting Legislation (RAL).

In parallel to her academic career, Mrs. Movsesyan occupies the position of the CFO at Megafood, a major company specialized in import and distribution in Armenia.

Her academic experience includes teaching ACCA courses at International Accountancy and Business (IAB) center. She has been the prizewinner on ACCA P7, P2 and F8 papers in Armenia. Marianna is also an alumnus of Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program (2000).
