Lori Fredricks received a Ph.D. in Language and Literacy Education from Georgia State University. She has worked as an ESL teacher, teacher trainer, and researcher in the US, Tajikistan, Egypt, and China. As a former English Language Fellow and a Fulbright grantee, her work has focused on developing culturally relevant curricula, supporting literacy in multicultural and multilingual contexts, and exploring teacher discourse in online and face-to-face interactions. Lori’s research has been funded by the International Literacy Association, the Fulbright Program, and the American University in Cairo. She is presently interested in investigating English learners’ collaboration through their uses of blogs, Youtube, and video creation.
