Ms. Gohar Sargsyan serves as the Program Coordinator for the MATEFL Program and the Center for Research and Applied Linguistics (CRAL) at the American University of Armenia. She oversees student and alumni databases, coordinates academic and administrative operations, and supports faculty and staff in program implementation. Gohar plays a key role in establishing and maintaining partnerships with local and international institutions under Erasmus+, Linnaeus Palme, and other collaborative projects. She also facilitates fieldwork experiences, professional development initiatives, and community outreach activities.
Before joining AUA as a Translation Studies student, Gohar studied Journalism at Yerevan State University, though she never actually pursued a career in the field. Instead, her passion led her to education, where she has been making a difference for 12 years, including 4 years at Ayb School as a Special Educational Programs Coordinator.
In recognition of her dedication and service, Gohar was named Staff Excellence in Service Award recipient (2023) and Graduate Valedictorian at AUA’s 32nd Commencement Ceremony (2024).
