Crist Khachikian

Dr. Khachikian is currently a faculty member in Civil Engineering at the California State University Northridge (CSUN). He has served as CSUN’s Associate Vice President for Research and the Graduate Dean. Dr. Khachikian earned his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from UCLA and a Masters of Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was the director of a multidisciplinary Center for Energy and Sustainability and he currently co-directs two programs, one focused on diversifying the biomedical workforce and the other to promote entrepreneurship and innovation across campus. Throughout his career, Dr. Khachikian has worked with faculty and students from dozens of fields and has successfully garnered over $50 million of funding to support faculty and students in various environmental, energy, and biomedical projects. Dr. Khachikian's work at the AUA Acopian Center will focus on community engagement in the adoption of sustainable energy solutions.
