Armine Anda (Abrahamyan) started her career with lead roles in theatre and making a TV show for children telling her stories (BLIUM BLIUM STORIES, 2000-2002). Her short films (fiction & animation) received international awards. JOAN AND THE VOICES by Mikayel Vatinyan (2011), a feature film co-written, produced and with the title role played by her, had its world premiere in Busan IFF in South Korea and many selections afterwards. Anda received ORANGE BOOK AWARD in Armenia for her fantasy novel THE INHABITANTS OF ANKIMURE, published with her illustrations (2013). She received two BEST ACTRESS awards for short fiction CROSSING THE BLUE by Victoria Aleksanyan (2022) co-written, produced and with lead acting by her.
THE SONG OF FLYING LEAVES (2023), a short animation she co-wrote/ directed/produced and with voice acting by her, has 80+ official selections, receiving 20 awards, Golden Apricot as “Best Short Film” and Armenian National Film Academy “Anahit” Award for “Best Animated Film” among them. The foreign awards include Best Animation, Ariano IFF, Italy; Best Animation, Beirut International Women Film Festival, Lebanon; Golden Flame Animation Award, Lantern & Light ICFF, Australia; Best Film, Short Animation – Popular Jury Award, Lucania Film Festival, Italy; Audience Award, Horizons Competition, Paris International Animation Film Festival, France; Excellence Award – Blue Planet Awards in “Blue Planet” Futire Festival in Busan, South Korea; and numerous honorary/special mentions.
