Araks Shahinyan

Adjunct Lecturer

Araks Shahinyan is a writer and musicologist particularly specializing in the history of music and fine arts of the Baroque era and the Age of Enlightenment. She holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy (English and Spanish languages) from the Brusov State University (2009) and Master’s Degree in Political Science and International Affairs from the American University of Armenia (2012). Her further studies include Charles University of Prague (graduate in Studies on Governance and Economics, AIPES program) (2012), and Liberty English Camp (Language of Liberty Institute, in collaboration with Freedom and Entrepreneurship Foundation), Nerano, Marina del Cantone, Italy (2014). Having been professionally trained in piano playing, Araks Shahinyan shifted her field of activity towards the study of music and has authored the novel “A Two-Voice Fugue” (Yavruhrat: 1.2 edition, 2015). She has appeared in a number of public events and broadcasts as a guest speaker on music, is an award-winning writer, her Armenian language essays published in Granish Literary Community, and an aspiring cellist.
