Narek Ohanyan joined the American University of Armenia as an adjunct lecturer in 2016, teaching in the Bachelor of Arts in Business (BAB) and Master of Science in Economics (MSE) programs. He also worked in the Financial system forecasting division at the Central Bank of Armenia and received a Letter of Appreciation from the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia for his research performance.
Narek Ohanyan’s experience encompasses consulting services to the World Bank and Asian Development bank in the areas of poverty and targeting of social security programs in Armenia, opportunities of inclusive growth in Armenia and economic opportunities associated with Armenia’s entry into the Eurasian Economic Union.
Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain.
