Although originally from Yerevan, Armenia, I spent my high school years studying in Nicosia, Cyprus. I returned to complete my undergraduate and graduate degrees at Yerevan State University where I majored in English philology. I also obtained a Certificate in Translation from AUA in June 2016. During my studies, I started an internship with the U.S. Embassy in Armenia where I supported the Public Affairs Section with their cultural and educational events.
In August 2013, I joined AUA’s School of Public Health as an administrative assistant. In February 2015 I transitioned to the Office of Admissions where I started as an Admissions Counselor and now serve as the Senior Admissions Counselor. I manage our front desk, oversee our undergraduate recruitment, and coordinate our numerous on-campus and off-campus events. What I love most about my position… interacting with prospective applicants and their families. Just a word of caution… stay away from me when I’m hungry :).
