Lilit Hovhannisyan

Admissions Counselor

I am proud to say I am the first undergraduate alumna working in the Office of Admissions. I was born in Vanadzor, Armenia’s third largest city. I moved to Yerevan to study English and Communications at AUA. Throughout my studies, I taught English at the American Corner in Yerevan and interned with the US Embassy in Armenia as their Social Media and Information Resource Center Assistant.

In 2016, I was one of few participants selected to represent Armenia in the Study of the US Institutes (SUSI) program where I spent over a month learning Public Policy Making at Southern Illinois University. After completing my studies at AUA, I realized I wanted to commit to my alma mater by becoming an Admissions Counselor. In my position, I work on our incoming study abroad and summer programs and support international recruitment efforts. I also am here to answer any questions related to our admissions process, application requirements, and more.

P.S. I also manage our Admissions Facebook page. If you’re not yet following us, you better do it now :)!
